A task with the thread's context, after a Confirm.

#paymentspublic channel3 tool calls

A task drafted from the thread's decision — title, description, the link back — and held. The Confirm card shows the exact call: press it and the task exists, cancel it and nothing happened, or hand the thread back and say what you actually wanted.

Drafted: “Replace retry count with a 2.5 s time budget in the payments client”, in the Backend list, with the decision and the link to this thread in the description. One write, so I’ll wait.

Names, figures, repositories and customers are changed; token counts and cost are illustrative. The ask, and the shape of the answer, are as they were.

How the turn went

A draft from the thread, the hold, and pre-approving the expected.

  1. 01

The draft comes from the thread

It reads the decision and writes the task from it, with the permalink so the task leads back to the conversation.

  2. 02

    The hold

Any method other than GET, HEAD or OPTIONS is held. The card shows service, summary, method and path; Confirm runs it, Cancel drops it, “Something else…” drops it and hands the thread back.

  3. 03

    Pre-approving the expected

An admin can write “Creating tasks in ClickUp is expected and approved” as an allow rule. A strict model check must agree the rule clearly covers this exact action before the hold is skipped, and the reply says which rule applied.

What it needs

The setup, in the console.

Connection
The ClickUp preset, attached to the channel. Linear and Jira presets take the same ask through http_request.
Writes policy
confirm is the default: writes wait, reads run. auto for a sandbox; all when even looking is sensitive.
Expiry
A pending write expires after five minutes rather than waiting to be pressed by someone scrolling back a week later.

What it will not do

Enforced outside the model.

  • Nobody scrolling back later can press a stale card; the hold expires.

  • A write nobody in the channel may self-approve leaves the thread and goes to an approver — and nobody approves their own request.

Try it

Say it in a channel it is in.

The sentence as it was typed. It works in any channel the bot has been invited to that carries the connection above — no command syntax, no form, and follow-ups in the thread need no mention.
